The third annual Agri Expo, organized by Pachai Boomi – a monthly agricultural magazine, originally scheduled for 2024 November 22-24 in Tirunelveli, has been postponed once again.
Last year, sudden heavy rains and flooding caused significant disruptions during the expo, which remains fresh in everyone’s memory. Considering these previous challenges and the current unpredictable weather patterns, this decision has been made to postpone the event.
The exhibition will now be held on December 20, 21, and 22 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). It will take place, as usual, at the historic Nootrandu Mandapam in Palayamkottai, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
With the aim of “Let’s ensure the land and life thrive together!,” Pachai Boomi, established in 2011, has focused on agricultural development and the growth of the farming community. In line with this mission, since October 2021, it has been organizing agricultural expos across Tamil Nadu for the benefit of farmers and agribusinesses.
So far, Pachai Boomi has successfully organized 13 agricultural expos across locations such as Ottanchathiram (twice), Rajapalayam (once), Namakkal (twice), Theni (once), Tirunelveli (twice), Gopichettipalayam (once), Pollachi (three times), and Tanjore (once). This upcoming event in Tirunelveli marks its 14th expo and the third one in this region along the Tamiraparani River.
The exhibition will feature various agricultural products and equipment essential for farming, such as seeds, saplings (fruit trees, coconut seedlings), fertilizers, tractors, rotovators, pesticide sprayers, drip irrigation systems, and traditional tools like sickles, hoes, and spades.
Additionally, stalls from government departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Silk Development, and Dairy Development will be present, along with bank stalls providing financial support to farmers. Visitors can also explore over a hundred stalls offering fodder supplies for livestock (goats, cattle, poultry), environmentally-focused stalls, and value-added products.
As a bridge connecting farmers with agricultural companies, Pachai Boomi’s expo will serve as a platform for the growth and development of agriculture.
